Contrary to popular assumption, washing squid is not very difficult. The good news is that the majority of commercially available squid is already cleaned and prepared for cooking. Most grocery shops have a frozen squid, which thaws rapidly so you don’t need to prepare your supper too far in advance.

Ingredients

  • 2 kg of squid
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 5 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 200 ml of white wine
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • salt to taste
  • dry spices (oregano, basil, thyme, rosemary)

Instructions

Clean and wash the squid (or buy already cleaned)

Put them in water with two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar for 10 minutes, then rinse well and dry them

Put the squid in a deep dish, oil them and add salt

Fry the prepared squid in olive oil until they turn brown on both sides

Add white wine, garlic, and a mixture of dry spices and continue cooking until the wine evaporates

When the wine evaporates, add the soy sauce and fry very slightly (make sure it doesn't burn)
