Apple Roses
Ingredients
- 1 packet of puff pastry
- 3 apples
- 3 tablespoons of apricot marmalade
- juice of half a lemon
Instructions
Thinly roll out half of the puff pastry
Cut 6 strips 5 cm wide
Cut the apples in half, and remove the pits and stems
Cut the apples into thin slices
Pour lemon juice into the bottom of a large ceramic bowl, arrange the sliced โโapples,
and pour enough water to cover the apples
Put the apples in the microwave for 3 minutes on the strongest setting so that they become soft and can be rolled
Put marmalade in a bowl and add 2 tablespoons of water
Place the marmalade in the microwave for 1 minute and stir when it is removed from the oven
Spread the strips of rolled dough with marmalade
Place the apples on top of the marmalade, so that the lower, flatter side of the slice is approximately halfway up the strip of dough, and the upper, round side with the skin protrudes beyond the dough.
Transfer the second half of the dough over the apples, then start rolling lengthwise
Place the roses in muffin tins
Do the same procedure with the other half of the puff pastry - roll it out, cut it, cover it, and arrange the apple roses (12 roses will turn out from the whole package of puff pastry)
Place the mold in a heated oven and bake at 180 for about 35 minutes
Sprinkle the hot baked roses with powdered sugar and serve
