The roll with biscuits in a wafer is extremely simple and quick to prepare, and it is quite economical and generous, and I believe that the recipe for it will mean something to you in the coming holiday months.
NOTE: The roll with biscuits in a wafer is NOT lean, but it can be if you use lean biscuits, margarine and some vegetable milk of your choice.
Roll with Biscuits in a Wafer
Ingredients
- 2 wafer sheets (27.5 x 37.5 cm)
- For the filling:
- 400 g square biscuit
- 100 g of chocolate
- 130 g of butter or margarine
- 250 ml of milk
- 4 spoons of sugar
- Rum or rum flavor to taste
Instructions
Stuffing:
Break the biscuit into smaller pieces.
Mix milk and sugar in a separate pan and cook until it boils.
Remove the pan from the heat, then add the chocolate cubes and butter/margarine and stir until melted.
If you like, add rum or rum flavor to your taste.
Pour the resulting mixture over the broken pieces of biscuits and mix everything well.
Roll shaping procedure:
Place the wafer sheets between damp kitchen towels to soften them.
Take one sheet, and spread half of the prepared filling on the rough side.
TIP: Do NOT spread all the way to the edges so that the filling does not leak out.
Roll the rolled wafer into a tight roll (long side).
Shape the second roll from the remaining material in the same way as described.
First leave them at room temperature so that the wafers dry, and only after that for a few hours in the fridge to firm up so that they are crispy.
With a sharp knife or scalpel, cut them crosswise into slices of the desired thickness and serve.
Notes
The roll with biscuits in a wafer is NOT lean, but it can be if you use lean biscuits, margarine and some vegetable milk of your choice.
