Dessert with Figs and Walnuts
Ingredients
- 30 dried figs
- Walnuts
- 150 g of sugar
- 1 spoonful of honey
- 2 spoonfuls of butter
Instructions
Take the dried figs in a bowl, pour hot water over them and let them soften for 20 to 25 minutes.
Strain the water and cut off the stalks of the dried figs.
Place the half walnuts in the pit formed when you bend the cut parts inward.
Take them all in a common pot and pour 150 grams of sugar on it.
Add 2 cups of water and 1 spoonful of honey.
Cook on medium heat until it boils, after boiling, on low heat with the lid closed.
In the meantime, check frequently.
Turn off the syrup when the figs are cooked well and start to thicken.
