The offer of top-quality burgers has never been better, and those who follow Receptura’s social networks have already had the opportunity to see part of what is offered at various festivals with delicacies like this. However, since the social distancing measures are in force, I make them at home more and more often, so I’m sharing with you a great recipe for a phenomenal homemade burger.
What I wanted was to achieve the perfect taste of an impeccably juicy and delicious burger in my own kitchen, as offered by the best restaurants with this type of food. That’s why I’ve tried several different recipes in recent months, and the experience I’ve gained has been translated into one perfect burger that delighted everyone who tried it.
I made the burger from ground beef, which gives it that special taste that we all love so much. Although you will find different recipes, it is especially important that no spices are added to the meat itself, but that it is only peppered and salted after the burgers have been formed.
The meat should not be pressed too much so that the burger is not dry, and the butter used to coat the burgers is a special edition.
Burgers at Home
Ingredients
- oil for frying
- 2 brioche pastries
- 300 g of ground beef
- 1 tablespoon of melted butter
- 4 slices of smoked bacon
- 2 sheets of gouda cheese
- 4 tablespoons of mayonnaise
- 4 spoons of ketchup
- 1 tablespoon of sour cream
- 1 tomato
- 1 red onion
- salt, pepper
Instructions
First, you need to prepare all the ingredients.
Divide the meat into two equal parts (it can also be weighed).
Shape the patty with your hands so that the meat remains loose and not compacted.
Make each patty about 2 centimeters thick.
Season the patties well with salt and pepper on both sides and let them rest while you make the burger toppings.
Add mayonnaise and ketchup to the bowl of sour cream, mix everything well and set aside.
Wash and wipe the lettuce leaves.
Wash the tomatoes, wipe them dry, and cut them into rings about 5 millimeters thick.
Peel the red onion, and also cut it into circles of the same thickness as the tomato.
Put the grill pan on the fire and heat it well.
When the pan is heated, add a little oil.
Reduce the heat to medium.
Put both patties in the oven, and bacon next to them.
Fry the bacon for about a minute on both sides and remove it on kitchen paper to absorb excess fat.
When the bacon is removed, put the sliced onion on the grill pan.
Bake the patties on one side for about 5 minutes for a medium-cooked burger.
Carefully turn the burgers with tongs and coat them with melted butter.
Then put one sheet of Gouda cheese on each one and cover them with a small bowl or a lid so that the cheese blends well with the meat.
While the other side of the meat is cooking, turn the onion over, and when it's done, take it out as well.
Bake the other side of the patty for about 5 minutes.
Slice the brioche, and when the onions and burgers are baked, fry them briefly on the grill pan.
Spread the sauce on both the bottom and top of the sliced pastry, and place a salad leaf on the bottom.
Arrange the patties on the salad, and place two slices of toasted bacon on top of them.
Place a few slices of sliced tomato over the bacon, and carefully arrange the toasted red onion over it.
Cover everything with the top part of the pastry and enjoy every bite.
