Mandarin Juice
Ingredients
- 2 kg of tangerines
- 4 liters of water
- 800 g of sugar
- 2 spoons of citric acid (20 g)
Instructions
Wash the tangerines well in water, then leave them soaked in a solution of water and vinegar or water and baking soda to remove all impurities and harmful substances
You can prepare the solution by adding 2 teaspoons of baking soda and one tablespoon of vinegar to 1 liter of water
Mix everything and soak the tangerines in the water
Cut the well-washed tangerines into smaller pieces (together with the peel) and grind them in a blender or cut them into small pieces and mash them well
Place the chopped tangerines in a larger pot, add water, and boil
Then add sugar (more or less, depending on the sweetness of the tangerines) and citric acid and cook the juice for another 10 minutes
Store the boiled juice in sterilized glass bottles - washed and heated in the oven
Cool the juice to room temperature and store it in a dry and dark place
